A word from ZTC

Thank you for supporting Zach’s Toy Chest. We started ZTC as a way to give back and it has grown so much since our first toy drive in 2009. We started with me, Zach’s Mom, at our local Whole Foods talking to shoppers and convincing them to purchase a toy from the store or to come back and drop off toys. These days you are very likely to still catch me out and about talking with everyone, but we have set up a network of local businesses acting as Donation Stations around the Triangle area to make donating easy for you.

You can find the closest Donation Station to you here. We started at Duke Children’s Hospital and are now currently serving 4 large children’s hospitals in North Carolina by keeping them stocked with new toys for kids of all ages receiving care. ZTC supports the following hospitals in NC regularly – Duke, UNC, WakeMed, and Maynard Children’s. Zach is now 15 years cancer-free. It’s truly mind-blowing to think that our kid who was so sick with cancer at 9 months old is now a healthy and thriving 16 year old. Giving back is what our family was meant to do and we cannot thank you enough for supporting our mission and making Zach’s Toy Chest happen.
